UHS Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center

The new 5 story patient tower expansion and extensive existing hospital renovation of the Centennial Hills Hospital Medical center was to address more bed capacity and capture future community growth in northwest Las Vegas.  The 5-story tower expanded Obstetrics, Critical Care, and Medical/Surgical Services.  The existing renovation added conference space, expanded lab/pharmacy/materials management, and expanded the surgery suite.  The second-floor renovation allowed for a refresh of Obstetrics/Women’s Services. The challenges that were overcome included speeding up the schedule to turn over beds in response to COVID-19.  The entire team shifted resources and focus where needed to accommodate the needs of the hospital. Interior Design challenges included blending new health system standards with the existing hospital that would remain untouched.  Design Studio Blue has been working with the hospital over the last 5 years in finishing the last remaining shell space and was familiar with the needs and design aesthetics.  We successfully provided a fresh finish palette to move the facility forward all while bringing the space to market ahead of schedule and under budget.
