St. Joseph’s/Candler Bluffton Oncology center in Bluffton, SC is a state of the art medical equipment and radiation oncology services center. Design Studio Blue was commissioned for a new project to lead all of Interior Design, Furniture Planning, and Art Consulting for the 2-story oncology center. The project included incorporating a serene coastal palette into every aspect of the design as well as creating physical manifestations of calming feelings, including a healing fountain, an encased water feature wall, and suspended acrylic icicles sculptural art installation over the open 2-story lobby. We stayed true to the tranquil theme of the project.  The team made a conscious effort to tie the project to the community by creating a serenity garden and a devotional chapel with historic stained glass pieces.  A photographer was commissioned to capture imagery of regional landmarks important to the low country community.
