UCHealth Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit

This was a roughly 40,000 Sq Ft behavioral health build-out of the 5th floor shell space in the new UCHealth Tower 3. The project is a an inpatient behavioral health suite with 24 private patient rooms and 8 semi-private pysch-med rooms. The patient rooms are designed with maximum visibility from the corridor by limiting blind/hiding corners. The program also included activity spaces, seclusion, quiet, and consult rooms as well as a electro convulsive therapy. The interior design theme is Colorado national park inspired with gentle curves and large landscape murals to invoke nature paths and tree canopies. The DSB interior design team incorporated design elements for physical and psychological safety for both patients and caregivers.
