UCHealth Tower 3

University of Colorado Health’s Tower 3 project is a new 12-story tower, existing hospital renovation, as well as an ambitious renovation and expansion of the Emergency Department, one of five Level 1 Trauma Centers in Colorado. The Tower 3 scope of work includes four built-out patient bed levels, totaling 120 patient rooms, a Clinical Decision Unit, seven Operating Rooms and a revamp to the Surgical Department. Design Studio Blue was tasked to create a palette to coordinate with and update finishes in three separate towers to uphold and refresh UCHealth’s brand identity, and reflect their dedication as a teaching hospital and create the basis of new design standards for the UCHealth campus going forward. Design Studio Blue’s team worked seamlessly with over a dozen design partners utilizing cutting edge technology to share, update and collaborate in real time to conceive and produce a unified project.
